Welcome to the official website of the Gastonia/ Shelby (NC) Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.  My name is Ralph E. Berry and I have the esteemed privilege of serving as the 15th Polemarch.

For more than 112 years, the paramount objective of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. has been and continues to be honorable achievement in every field of human endeavor. This objective persists with our steadfast to the Gaston and Cleveland County communities. For 35 years, the Gastonia/ Shelby (NC) Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. has found pride in the upholding of the values of our noble fraternity founders. Our founders were honorable, God- fearing, disciplined men with the same common goals; to dream, achieve and face adversity in the pursuit of obtaining a college education and mastery in subsequent professional careers.

The ‘Great’ Gastonia / Shelby (NC) Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. is a young and growing chapter within the Middle Eastern Province. We believe in the present and the future of the communities in which we serve, and will forever remain a constant presence and advocate for change throughout the community. Our ultimate desire is to lend our time and gifts in hopes that our service will enrich the lives of the great people in and around the Gaston and Cleveland County communities. As we continue this pursuit with an unwavering passion, we thank you for your support of our purpose and the events of the Gastonia/ Shelby (NC) Alumni Chapter and ask that you join us as we forge forward.
